Brandon Sanderson is a prolific American fantasy and science fiction author best known
for his intricate magic systems, expansive worldbuilding, and consistent output. Born in 1975, he
rose to prominence with novels such as Elantris and the Mistborn series, and later gained widespread
recognition for completing Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time after Jordan’s passing. Sanderson is
also a professor of creative writing, and his lectures have become a popular resource for aspiring
